Info on using saddle soap?

well i used saddle soap today on a leather harness and after i washed my hands i noticed how soft they were...and not that i am wanting to do this but could you use saddle soap in the shower? i waqs just wondering because i see all these soaps made for softenign skin and the saddle soap softened my skin better then any other soap
