Teens: what were your parents like as teenagers?

Haha, my dad's always getting mad at me and being a hypocrite. He was a "hippy", but he wore rebellious clothing, like skinny tight jeans and a leather snake-skin shirt. He hung around with stoners and moved out at 16, he didn't graduate and traveled around Germany and other places and slept in halls, train stations etc. But he wouldn't let me wear "cool" clothing (apparently what he wore was cool) for the longest time, he bought my clothes strictly at thrift stores (not anymore, luckily).
