How many sizes can leather boots be stretched?

I'm in love with a pair of Jeffrey Campbell boots but unfortunately the only place i can find them only has 6.5 left. I'm an 8.5, but ideally a 9. Could the boots stretch that far? If so, how can I get them to that point?
