Shall i store leather furniture in a storage space?

I was needed to store a full grain aniline dyed leather sofa set for about two years. I read one post about storing the sofa on its end short term. You need a climate controlled unit, As live on the east coast. You should wrap it or should the leather be left open to the air of the storage unit. Of move it to any professional storage space.
